Where shopping makes a difference!
Castaway Kids guarantees that 100% of donors’ contributions go to the student or project of their choice. We can make that promise because we are a mostly volunteer organization and that keeps our expenses low. Also proceeds from our Thrift Store cover the overhead expenses we have. Donations to and purchases from the Thrift Store are essential to our operations and our success. Proceeds from the Thrift Store are used to fund many of our programs and also help to support students who have lost their sponsors.
DONATE
We accept clothing, household items, sporting goods, jewelry, boats, furniture, RVs, almost anything in usable condition. We can always sell or re-purpose kids' sports equipment, especially baseball and soccer gear. Please consider packing a bag of donations when you return to San Carlos next time.

Our shelves are restocked daily. We receive donations all year round from generous donors - you never know what treasures you will find!
VOLUNTEER
We always need volunteers to help at the donation center and thrift store. Opportunities include customer assistance, merchandise sorting and pricing, store/building repairs and maintenance, checking electronic donations. When we have donated boats there are also opportunities for engine repairs, cleaning, sanding and painting.
