COMMUNITY SUPPORT
ESPERANZA AZTECA YOUTH SYMPHONY AND STEEL PAN BAND
Esperanza Azteca is an initiative of Grupo Salinas Fundación Azteca, a Mexican non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for youth in low-income and marginalized Mexican communities. Esperanza Azteca uses music to enhance lives.  Recognizing the value of musical education, Castaway Kids entered into a partnership with Esperanza Azteca, Guaymas. We help with fundraising and provide a tax-deductible means for donating to Esperanza Azteca, Guaymas. Castaway Kids has also purchased a trailer for hauling instruments and provides funds for transportation to and from concerts. In addition, Castaway Kids completely funds a steel pan band for aspiring percussionists, as part of Esperanza Azteca.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Castaway Kids forwards new and used donated equipment to local after-school athletic programs so that kids without their own gear can participate in team sports.
PLAY AREAS
In collaboration with Mesa, Arizona sister city and Mark Mulligan, Castaway Kids volunteers have installed playground equipment in several neighborhoods around Guaymas-San Carlos.
LITTER REMOVAL
Castaway Kids students are always ready to help clean up our local beaches.
ORPHANAGES
Castaway Kids donates money, appliances, and services to help improve the quality of life for kids living in local orphanages.
