Just in!:
On January 15th, the Tecnica 30 school
announced the winner of the bike raffle.
The lucky winner was 14 yr old,
Jorge Reyes
In November, 2 bikes were contributed
to Castaway Kids by Ryan "Rhino"
Wirtz of RC Bikes in Tucson. The bikes
were presented to different schools in
Guaymas to be raffled to students via
general raffle or academic award. The
other school being, the primary school
in Fatima.
In attendance at the raffle were several students, including many
of our sponsored kids. Rebecca/Principal, Cristina/Social
Worker, the dance professor and several of the students' Moms
made the event a day to remember.
The fiesta prior to the announcement included; delicious hot
chocolate, gorditas, tacos and chips. Two couples from the 22
member folkloric dance class, performed for us in their beautiful
traditional costumes.
